Important Information Regarding Injuries And Your Recreational Off-Highway Vehicle

Florida offers some of the finest mud holes, sandy locations, and wooded areas to disappear, away from the traffic, to play around on your Recreational Off-Highway Vehicle (ROV). Mud holes, sandy dunes, and wooded locations are prime locations to relax, unwind, and have some fun. Of course, this act can be looked upon as a dangerous activity, in itself, and people purchase helmets, and various other safety equipment in an attempt to prevent injuries. However, the one thing they typically do not account for is a problem occurring with their ROV. It is notable to mention that they are human-made and eventually a part may become broken, due to the harsh conditions involved with their use.

What exactly happens if you sustain an injury from a defective part on your ROV, from no fault of your own? If the damage is from a faulty part or a negligent act you may be entitled to compensation. Proving that one party or another other is to blame, is an entirely different ball game. Shared responsibility is possible, as the manufacturer, part maker, or another party may be at fault. We have the know how, ability, and funds to take these people to trial. Many times the other firms will back down, and settle out of court, simply because of our reputation. Contact our office to find out if your claim has a leg to stand on, and what your options are to get the monetary compensation that you deserve.

Polaris has issued recall number 17-756 on all model year 2017 Polaris RZR 570 and RZR S 570 recreational off-highway vehicles (ROVs). RZR EPS 570, or RZR S 570 EPS vehicles, are included as well. They came in a variety of different colors, which are red, silver, and white with Polaris emblems on the front grill. There are model numbers, that can be found, on a manufacturing label, which can tell you if your ROV is affected. The tag is near the front right fender and figures to look for are...

  • Z17VJE57AR

  • Z17VHE57AU

  • Z17VHA57A2

The front brake can become detached, resulting in an increased risk of a crash happening. Driving with no brakes is a task that should be left up to the stuntmen in Hollywood, as it poses a huge threat to your well-being. The company recommends that consumers immediately discontinue use of the ROV, contact the customer service department at 800-765-2747, and schedule service for a free repair. Polaris is supposed to communicate with all known owners about the problem, but that does not account for vehicles that have been resold or given to new owners.

The ROVs were sold nationwide from December 2016 through June 2017 at dealerships for approximately $8,500, so they can be anywhere by now, including here in southwest Florida. Individuals can also find more information on the Polaris web page, under the Off Road Safety Recalls tab, which is located, at the bottom of the page. If you have been injured, and feel it is the fault of a manufacturer or another party, do not hesitate to call us to see if you where your claim stands.
