Three-Vehicle Collision Kills One Man In Collier County Tuesday Afternoon
On June 6, 2023, a tragic accident occurred at 3:45 P.M. at the intersection of County Road 846, also known as Immokalee Road and Rock Road in Collier County. The collision involved three vehicles, two pickup trucks, and a sedan.
The sedan, driven by a 34-year-old man from Naples Florida, was traveling east on Immokalee Road in the inside lane when the accident occurred. In an unfortunate twist of events, his vehicle veered left, crossed the median strip, and entered the westbound lanes of the road.
Coming in the opposite direction, on the inside westbound lane of Immokalee Road, was a pickup truck driven by a 52-year-old man from Naples, Florida. Simultaneously, another pickup truck, driven by a 41-year-old man from Cape Coral, Florida, with a 20-year-old passenger from North Port, Florida, heading west on the same road but in the center lane.
As the sedan encroached into the westbound lanes, the front right side of his sedan collided with the front right side of the pickup truck driven by the 52-year-old man from Naples. Following this initial collision, the force of the impact caused the pickup to subsequently crash into the pick up truck driven by the 41-year-old man from Cape Coral.
Tragically, the 34-year-old man from Naples who drove the sedan was fatally injured and pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident. As of now, the crash remains under investigation by Florida Highway Patrol. Our thoughts go out to the family and friends of the victim at this difficult time.
