Recall Expected To Begin On August 24, 2017

Chrysler is issuing recall number T36, which involves some of their most popular models. An electrical short can occur, resulting in an increased risk of fire, as well as, your vehicle stalling out. It was brought, to the company's attention, that a sudden failure to the alternator is a possibility. This stoppage increases your risks of becoming involved in an accident, as a vehicle can crash into your rear end, or you may even lose control and wreck into another car, pedestrian, or immovable object. Severe injuries may happen, and that is not even mentioning anything about the fire hazards posed to you by the alternator failure.

A potential 442,214 affected units are involved in this recall, but since the models are prominent in our region, they could be parked, right in our backyard. Chrysler will notify owners, but individuals should also feel free to call their customer service department at 1-800-853-1403 to get the most relevant and up-to-date information. The models included in this particular recall are...

  • 2011-2014 Dodge Challenger, Dodge Charger, Chrysler 300, Dodge Durango

  • 2012-2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles

Now hold on a minute before you get too riled up, as not every one of these vehicles is involved. The units must come equipped with electro-hydraulic power steering (EHPS), a 3.6 or 5.7L engine, and 160, 180 or 220 amp alternator. If you drive one of these models or know someone that does, take the necessary precautions, contact the proper people, and get the issue resolved quickly, which will hopefully keep you and others safe and sound.

Certified dealers will inspect the alternator, and if the numbers match, replace them free of charge. However, that does not help you if you become injured before this action takes place, and we want you to know that we are here if you should need our services. Our team will set up a personal plan of action, just for your case. We help the individual and do not only treat people as a paycheck, or a number. If you are owed compensation, we will do everything in our power to get you a fair and just settlement.
