  • 2016-2017 Nissan Maxima vehicles which were manufactured between February and August of 2016. These vehicles should also be equipped with Intelligent Cruise Control.

  • 2015-2017 Murano vehicles that were manufactured between August 2014 and August 2016. Intelligent Cruise Control is another aspect that should be present in these vehicles.

Warning Signs

There is a warning sign that has occurred in more than one instance. Upon starting your vehicle the ABS warning lamp will remain lit for more than 10 seconds if the fluid has leaked onto internal electronic components. This is a small and subtle warning sign but by remaining aware of your surroundings a catastrophic event can be avoided. It is not often that something as simple as a warning lamp has such dire circumstances surrounding it, so if you or someone you know drives one of the above-mentioned vehicles, have it checked out as quickly as possible.

It is recommended that if this warning sign occurs, you should park your vehicle outdoors, away from other vehicles, buildings, or people, and do not attempt to drive the vehicle. Doing this is easier said than done, especially if you do not know about the recall. Being aware of your vehicle’s instrument panel and staying informed about up-to-date recall information concerning your vehicle will ensure that you have done your part to keep anyone and anything that comes in contact with your vehicle safe.
